Collaboration
Concept Overview
We are social beings. Our personal wellbeing is intimately tied to the health of our communities. And like our bodies and brains, our communities are complex, adaptive networks – natural gardens for growing strong, competent and healthy people.
Gardeners know that each element in the garden can have a profound impact on the others, and constantly adjust to current conditions to keep the ecosystem of the garden healthy. So, too, must an effective community care system operate from the perspective of the whole to deliver results at the level of each individual, taking a nuanced, adaptive approach to continually meet changing needs.
Curandi works with communities to build robust, collaborative networks capable of affecting this kind of systemic change. We help identify the elements and dynamics at work in complex community problems and mobilize network members around shared purpose, clear goals and data-driven feedback to inform value-focused action.
Shared purpose. Measurable results. Outcome-based evaluation. Creating a system that values collaboration over competition will help restore cooperation, adaptiveness, accountability and humanity to our care systems. Read more about how collaboration informs the Curandi model.
